Demonstration: Programming a Smart Key for a 2024 BYD Destroyer 05
Required Equipment:
- Lonsdor K518 Pro key programmer
- OBD communication cable
- Original vehicle key
- A new Lonsdor smart key
Step-by-Step Procedure:
Step 1: Generate Smart Key
Connect the OBD communication cable.
Navigate to “Generate Smart Key” → BYD → Destroyer and select the first menu option.
Insert the new Lonsdor smart key into the card slot.
Click “Generate” — the process completes successfully.
Return to the main menu.
Step 2: Program Key & Remote
Select “Immobilizer & Remote” → BYD Smart Key → Destroyer 05.
Choose “Read Key Data” and follow the on-screen instructions.
Place the original car key in the indicated sensing area and click OK.
Select “Program Smart Key”.
(Current key count displayed: 2)
Place the first key to be programmed into the sensing area → click OK → programming successful.
When prompted to program the next key, select OK.
Place the second smart key into the sensing area → click OK → programming successful.
Select “Cancel” when asked about programming additional keys.
