KEYDIY KD-X6 can read original Volkswagen 5C key data using GODIAG VAG 5C 5D Solder-Free Clip Adapter Kit. This guide outlines the exact steps to extract the key data and prepare for key learning.
Required Tools:
- KEYDIY KD-X6 key programmer
- GODIAG BDC3 Key Adapter and VW 5C Clip (default in GODIAG BMW BDC3 14-in-1 Adapter Kit)
- Original VW 5C key PCB
Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Hardware Connection
Plug GODIAG BDC3 Key Adapter into the main port of KD-X6 programmer.
- Menu Navigation
Open the tablet menu and go to: IMMO programming -> VW -> 5C/5D Immobilizer system -> Start execution.
- Function Selection
Select Read the original car key and generate a dealer key.
Then choose Disassembling key data to generate dealers/Generating dealers via service account.
- Clip Connection
Check the wiring diagram displayed on KEYDIY KD-X6 screen. Attach the 5C clip adapter to the corresponding points on the original key PCB.
- Data Reading & Saving
Execute the Read Chip Data. Once the 5C key data reading finishes, save the generated service code to your device.
- Dealer Key Generation & Key Learning
Use the saved service code to make a dealer key and complete the key learning procedure.
Note: If the vehicle features an SFD gateway system, unlock SFD security protection prior to performing key learning.
