Flex V8.28.0.0 introduces a new exclusive solution for programming Kefico SIM2K-510 engine control units. The new protocol allows technicians to carry out programming operations through OBD, making the process faster, simpler, and more convenient for daily workshop use.
Start Working in Just a Few Steps
The workflow has been designed to save time.
After connecting the vehicle via the OBD port, simply download the available Virtual Read and begin working on the ECU file. The process requires minimal preparation and allows quick access to supported control units.
If Virtual Read is not available, Flex ECU Programmer supports a real read procedure through OBD on Bench mode. During this operation, the ECU unlock process is completed automatically, helping technicians work more efficiently.
CAN FD Coverage Expanded
The update also adds support for CAN FD-equipped SIM2K-510 ECUs through FLX4.4 adapter. This enhancement increases compatibility with newer Hyundai and Kia applications and broadens programming possibilities.

Important Safety Notice
Before starting any operation on a SIM2K-510 ECU, verify that the following devices are disconnected from the CAN network:
- Any external alarm system connected to the CAN bus
- Any SCR/AdBlue emulator connected to the CAN bus
- Any OEM multimedia unit connected to the CAN bus
- Any other device connected to the CAN bus that is not original equipment of the car
Failure to remove these devices may interrupt communication and permanently damage the ECU.
Additional Recommendations
To ensure a successful operation:
- Use a stabilized power supply around 13V
- Do not perform the unlock procedure below 12.5V
- Never interrupt the ECU unlocking process
- Maintain an active internet connection throughout the operation
- Use FLX4.4 adapter when writing CAN FD versions
- If an SGW is detected, connect directly to the ECU using OBD on Bench mode
With this latest update, Magic Motorsport Flex continues to expand Hyundai and Kia coverage while providing a more efficient programming experience for workshops and tuning professionals.
