Autel IM608 test report: tried to renew a MED17.7.3 ecu from a 2015 gle350 . The Autel im608 I have shows that it is possible and the wiring diagram. I made a harness hooked up exactly via the diagram with the 120ohm resister installed too and I am getting an error that the ecu cannot be found.

  1. Just use the G-BOX2 according to the diagram. It’s what I always use.

Use GBOX2 with external 12V DC power supply at least 3A

I’d bet you are using a 1A power supply that is not supplying enough current to boot the ECU. REMEMBER the vehicle has 10+A current.

2.You need the ori file to renew a ecu, no tool company I’m aware of supplies ori files, u need to source those yourself, the tool has the capabilities. but u need the ori file. Have a quick look on Google on what they are and it should help you understand what to look for on the ECU to find the right ori file online.
