I have one Autel MaxiIM IM608, and one day I used it to program a Key ID 46 for Mitsubishi Outlander 2007, all keys lost, this is the key that I want to program:

Because I don’t have the correct chip to program, I got error “The key couldn’t be registered because the key was wrong type. “.
Then I consult in the Autel MaxiIM IM608 group, many locksmiths gave me advice, among them I pick up two here, hope it helps you too if you have the same problem.
- Make sure the 46 chip has Mitsubishi data inside it. Not a normal 7936.
Connect programmer and turn ignition on when prompted. If you put an unprogrammed key into it and turn ignition on you will get immo lockout for 35 minutes.
- For the key that you want to program, Xhorse Condor Mini Plus is able to cut the key for you, if you don’t have one Condor, ask someone for help.
