Use EngineDance X5 with BOOT Glitch Adapter to unlock 2020+ Bosch MD1CE100 MD1CS003 ECUs via Boot Glitch and read write flash & EEPROM data on bench successfully.
Option 1: For Bosch MD1CE100 ECU
1.Menu Path Navigation:
Advanced Functions -> ECU FLASH -> Bosch Bench Mode (ECU) -> Bosch MD1xxx [After 2020 locked]-> BOOT GLITCH MD1CE100 [After 2020.06- Locked]

3.Connection Method:
- Open the MD1 ECU casing. Remove the specified tiny resistor on the board. Set it aside safely.
- Connect EngineDance X5 ECU Programmer to MD1 MG1 BOOT Glitch Adapter. Wire the adapter pin directly to point E1 on the board.
- Connect the MD1 6-in-1 cable to Port 4.
4.Unlocking ECU via Boot Mode
Pay attention to the software safety prompt.
Establish X5 tool and the ECU connection to access the pre-unlock screen.
You can read and back up the original FLASH and EEPROM data in boot mode before unlocking.
Click Unlock to remove the factory lock.
Resolder the resistor back onto the circuit board and close the ECU housing.
5.Data Reading and Writing on Bench
Disconnect the boot glitch adapter and attach the ECU using the standard bench harness.
Select Bosch MD1xxx [After 2020 locked]-> BENCH-MD1xxx after 2020- unlocked.
Check ECU version details
Read and write FLASH data on the bench by selecting Mode 1 or Mode 2.
Option 2: For PSA Bosch MD1CS003
1.Menu Path Navigation:
- Boot Glitch Unlock
Advanced Functions -> ECU FLASH -> Bosch Bench Mode (ECU) -> Bosch MD1xxx [After 2020 locked] -> BOOT GLITCH MD1CS003 [After 2020.06- Locked]
- Bench Read and Write
ECU FLASH -> Bosch Bench Mode (ECU) -> Bosch MD1xxx [After 2020 locked] -> BENCH- MD1xxx [After 2020- Unlocked]
2.Connection Method:
Follow the built-in software diagrams:
- Desolder the tiny resistor on the board.
- Connect EngineDance BOOT Glitch Adapter to X5.
- Wire the adapter pin to point E1.
- Connect the adapter to the ECU using the included Jumper Box.
3.Unlocking ECU via Boot Mode:
Removes factory anti-tuning protection on MD1CS003 module using boot glitch protocols.
4.Data Reading and Writing on Bench
Check ECU version detail, then read and write full FLASH and EEPROM contents on the bench.
5.Hardware Pairing Restriction:
Once unlocked via EngineDance, the ECU pairs exclusively with EngineDance hardware. Other tuning tools will not be able to read or write the ECU.
