If you are choosing between KEYDIY KD-X4 and KD-X6, the decision mainly comes down to how often you need advanced functions.
KD-X4 is enough for basic key, remote, chip, and common IMMO work. KD-X6 Standard Version gives you the newer platform and built-in DoIP/MLB/MQB48 functions, while allowing you to pay for advanced functions when needed. What Does KEYDIY KD-X6 Add?
KD-X6 keeps the main functions of KD-X4 key programmer but changes the way some operations are performed.
- No PC or Phone Required for Supported Operations
Unlike the previous workflow, KD-X6 can perform supported key programming and IMMO operations directly from the device.
- DoIP Is Built In
KD-X6 includes built-in DoIP, so users do not need a separate DoIP adapter for supported vehicles.
- MLB and MQB48 Are Integrated
The KD-MP MLB and MQB48 functions are integrated into KD-X6.
For supported operations, there is no need to connect a separate KD-MP unit.
- Mercedes-Benz FBS3
KD-X6 supports FBS3 Add Key and AKL functions on supported Mercedes-Benz vehicles.
FBS4 and FBS5 functions are still being developed.
- Cloud-C Remote
KD-X6 also supports Cloud-C remote functions, adding another option for supported remote programming jobs.
