(solve) OM123 OBDII coder reader “Linking Error”

Autophix OM123 OBDII EOBD coder reader might display “LINKING ERROR” when it fails to communicate with the vehicle’s ECU.

 

if LINKING ERROR pops up, please try to:

– verify the engine is ON

– check OM123 scanner OBDII connector is well connected to DLC on the vehicle

– make sure the vehicle is OBDII compliant

– turn ignition OFF and wait for 10 seconds nearly; then turn ignition ON and press ENTER to the main menu for diagnosis

 

How to use OM123 code scanner for OBDII diagnosis:

1 turn ignition on

2 locate the 16 pin data link connector (DLC) on the car

Usually, the DLC connector (left) is located in 12 inches from the center off the dash, under or around the driver side for most cars.

3 plug OM123 reader connector into DLC

4 turn ignition ON

5 press ENTER to the main menu and then press UP/DOWN button for diagnosis
