Golf V 2008 Diesel VDO 2416 AKL programming tool advice

Car model and year: Golf V 2008 Diesel with AKL, Dashboard VDO 1K0920874B, VDO 2416.

 

Purpose: Programming new key

How to do?

Try to read pin and cs from ecu and put it to another programmer

 

1. Xtool X100 PAD2 test result:

Tried to read Immo data with Xtool, but not done, it says “Security Verification failed”.

 

its a CDC32

Soo read eeprom and do service mode and write back ori eeprom

 

If the cluster show safe mode, you need service mode after that yoy can read immo data.

 

Read eeprom, try with service mode or send someone (@Anas Diafi) eeprom to do for you service mode. after that write back ori eeprom via obd and read immo data without problem.

 

2. SVCI 2020: worked

To do AKL in this type VDO 2416, try to read pin and cs from ecu and put it to another programmer. SVCI 5 minutes job. I do so much of them in Germany and France.

SVCI 2020 or svci 2018. It can do many things that big tools cannot do. I have autel im608 and obdstar and vvdi2 bmw and benz and cgprog mb and bmw.but I always used it first. The only problem that Don ever do with svci is bsi johnson control. It will pull the car to sleep. I had that pb 2 time.
