This guide demonstrates the process of adding a new KD (keyless entry) key to a 2023 Mazda3 Axela using Keydiy KD-X4 5-in-1 key programmer.
Preparation:
- 2023 Mazda3 Axela
- One original key (functioning car key)
- One new (unprogrammed key)
- Mobile phone
- Keydiy KD-X4
Procedure:
1.Access Programming Mode:
Enter IMMO programming application on KD-X4
Navigate through the menu:
Mazda-> Select by vehicle-> Japan-> Mazda3-> 2020-> Smart Key-> Smart Key System
Click “Start execution”
2.Select Function:
Choose “Add Key” option to begin the key pairing sequence.
3.Initiate Communication:
Pay attention to the warning and operate according to the on-screen prompt
Turn the ignition switch to the “ON” position, confirmed by the illumination of the instrument panel lights. The system will now process for a moment.
4.Backup Data:
When prompted, save the current vehicle data to a specified file path. Confirm the successful data save to proceed.
5.Await Confirmation:
The system will continue processing. A successful initialization is signaled by two audible beeps from the vehicle’s horn.
6.Follow Prompts:
Follow the on-screen instructions to operate. This typically involves pressing the brake pedal and holding the new key close to the engine start button.
7.Verify Success:
The system will confirm that three keys are now registered. Exit the programming menu and turn the ignition off.
8.Validate All Keys:
To prevent the loss of smart functions, it is critical to validate both the original and the new key. Start the vehicle with the original key, then turn it off. Repeat the process with the newly programmed key.
9.Final Functional Check:
Test the remote functions (lock/unlock) and the start function with both keys to ensure full operational normality.
Done!
That’s the whole process to add new keys to 2023 Mazda3 Axela using KEYDIY KD-X4 key programmer
