I’m going to make a new flip key using Autel MaxiIM KM100 for 2022 Chevrolet Captiva. For this car, it’ll need a 8 digit pincode. I’ve tried Xpad, OBDSTAR, Lonsdor and Autel, none of them can read it success. Sometimes the scanner can read while sometimes I need to buy.
Since I have the pincode now, let’s see how to do it.
Switch ignition on.
Connect Autel KM100 to OBD.
IMMO >> Chevrolet >> Automatic selection >> Immobilizer >> Immobilizer(CAN)-Type3 >> Remote control learning >> Number of keys
Number of current keys: 2
Key relearned >> Yes >> Enter 8 bit security code >> Yes
At most 4 keys can be learned.
Press Yes to continue learning.
Insert the key to be programmed and turn on ignition switch.
Learning succeeded.
Programming completed.
Please turn the key to OFF position. Wait for 20s and then start.
The number of current keys: 3
Test the new key.
It can start the car, and its remote works okay.
Done.
